Letter to HHS Coaches and HHS AD.
Josh and HHS Coaches,
First off, the HHS Greyhound Boosters would like to thank you for all you do for the student athletes at HHS. We value and appreciate the time and effort you put into your coaching duties to ensure your athletes get the most out of their high school and athletic experiences. We know it is not an easy endeavor. At our annual Boosters Potluck last night, I am extremely proud to say we were able to donate, by far, the most money that the Boosters have ever donated to HHS in any one calendar year. In the past ten years, the Boosters have donated over $500,000 to our athletic programs. This amount is due to the generous donations, support and commitment of the Healdsburg community. As many of you know, the Boosters raise funds from our membership drive (envelope stuffing done last night with mailing occurring next week), from various Snack Shack proceeds (Football, basketball and softball), from our annual Golf Tournament, from the food booth we have at the FFA Fair (led by Steve Rea and Ian Hesz), from sales of Greyhound merchandise and from various other smaller endeavors we take on every year. In addition to our yearly donation to the 17 Athletic Teams at HHS, we also sponsor scholarship for graduating Seniors, this year amounting to over $5,000. This year we are proud to give $180 per student athlete per athletic team who participated throughout the school year. This amounts to a total of $74,160. Attached below are the participation numbers for 2023/2024. We look forward to another successful fundraising season and a great year for HHS Athletics.
